CLASS DESCRIPTION 

During Day 1, you will explore achieving a range of values in your drawings and/or paintings. The focus will be on getting to black and preserving white. You will practice holding onto the large dark and light shapes and orchestrating the subtle values in each shape. 

This class may be taken separately or in tandem with Day 2: Pushing Value & Playing with Color.

(One-hour poses from a live model)

Student furnishes their own supplies and surfaces to work on. A suggested (recommended) supply list will be provided once you are enrolled. 

EXPERIENCE LEVEL 

Students have a basic understanding of the figure as the foundation of figure drawing is not taught in this class.

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS 

Tuition includes a $50 non-refundable, non-transferable fee.  

If you cancel 10 days or more before the workshop date, your tuition less the $50 nonrefundable fee will be returned.  

If you cancel within the 10 days of the start of the workshop and your space can be filled with a newly enrolling student as of your cancellation date, your tuition will be returned less $85. This does not include instances where a previously enrolled student from the next day's Sunday workshop transfers their enrollment to your vacated space. 

If you cancel within the 10 days of the start of the workshop and your space cannot be filled in that time, no refund or transfer will be available. Your tuition may not be used for a future workshop.
