WEEKLY COACHING SESSIONS

Mondays, 1 hour
(12 sessions total)

• Receive tools & guidance on how to hone your mindset for greater creativity. Watch one artist’s story.

• Uncover hidden thoughts and beliefs that are getting in the way of you confidently creating.

• If you’ve attended Create Anyway Sessions and/or Critique Week Combo, you have experience a coaching session with us. This is what these sessions will be like. We expect them to become even more powerful as the weeks go on as the coaching and growth continues to build and evolve.

• David and Jordan co-lead these sessions.

WEEKLY IN-DEPTH CRITIQUES

Fridays, 45 minutes
(10 sessions total, each with 3 artists)

• Learn from David’s laser-focused guidance by observing the critiques of your fellow artists as well.

• Be inspired and apply what you learn from each critique to your own work.

• Each session will include three artist critiques (45 minutes). This will allow each participating artist to receive one in-depth critique of your own work during the program (and two Lightning Critiques, see below).

• David conducts these sessions.

EMPOWERMENT SESSIONS

Wednesdays, Fridays or Saturdays, 1 hour or 30 minutes
(eight sessions total: all are one hour,with the exception of two 30-minute sessions)

You are invited to bring what’s on your mind to these sessions. What will empower you to create more freely and confidently. These sessions might include:

• Q & A: including questions related to creativity such as aesthetics, composition, technique, the process of creating, or habit formation, just to name a few. Or you may have a question about anything else that has come up in the program.

• Coaching on any topic, obstacle or difficulty that you may be encountering such as procrastination, perfectionism, self-doubt, fear, judgment, rejection and more.

• It’s all up for discussion & coaching.

• What is going to help empower you?

• David and Jordan co-lead these sessions.

LIGHTNING CRITIQUES

Wednesdays, fridays or saturdays, 1 hour
(SIX SESSIONS TOTAL, see schedule)

Please see schedule for when the Lightning Critiques will be held.

• During each session, 10 artists will receive quick, 5-minute critiques filled with guidance and feedback on a work in progress. Take what you learn back to your easel and apply it to future works as well.

• Learn from your own critique and by observing your fellow artists’ Lightning Critiques as well.

• Each artist receives two Lightning Critiques of their work during the duration of the program.

• David conducts these sessions.

• What goals, if any, might you want to set for yourself?

• Where do you want to stretch with your creativity?

• Do you want to finally do your real work?

• In order to set yourself up for the best success and evolution, do you want or need help understanding and managing your thoughts about the opportunities, deadlines or different facets of of this program? (We actually designed the program to bring up thinking that ordinarily might be blocking you and your creativity. Once it’s uncovered, we can shine some light on it.)

• Use these sessions to continue working on your mindset and releasing unhelpful thoughts and beliefs about you and your creative efforts.

• Why wait, when these Bonus Empowerment Sessions are starting Wednesday, July 29? There’s no time like the present.

GROUP ONLINE EXHIBITION

November 14, 2020 - January 10, 2021

As if the Coaching Sessions, In-Depth Critique Sessions, Lightning Critiques, Empowerment Sessions & Bonus Empowerment Sessions weren’t enough…

Your work is going to be featured in a Group Online Exhibit at the close of the program.

To qualify for the exhibit, you will need to meet these requirements:

• You will receive 3 assigned deadlines (one each during the beginning, middle and end of the 12-week period). If you enroll now, your first deadline would be August 25th.

• Submit 2 new pieces by each of these assigned deadline (for a total of 6 separate pieces) during the Create Anyway Collective. Stay on track and create along the way. No cramming at the end. This doesn’t mean your pieces have to be perfect or beautiful. You just need to submit them, and be willing to put your work out into the world, even if it is just in our inboxes and/or our CAC critique sessions for the time being. (And if your mind throws up some shenanigans along the way, bring it all to the Coaching Sessions and the Empowerment Sessions. We’ll help you).

• Deadline for final artwork submission of the updated versions of your 6 pieces is November 8. Of course, you’ll need to meet the image guidelines that will be provided. The guidelines will be pretty similar to the ones during prior Critique Weeks & Critique Week Combos.

• You submit your images. No other tech is involved. We’ll take care of the rest.

• The online opening reception will be November 14 with the online exhibit continuing through January 10, 2021. Details to follow. Your friends and family will be welcome to attend. Let’s all celebrate your creativity together.

• Do you have to participate in the Online Group Exhibit? No. But we say, why not leave that door open. Submit your work along the way. Practice courage and bravery and moving beyond what your mind is shouting at or whispering to you about you and your work. Show your mind a thing or two and submit your work at each deadline.

CREATE ANYWAY COLLECTIVE (DELUXE)

This includes everything in the Foundation Level plus:

• A signed copy of David’s forthcoming book on how to create with confidence and become a more empowered artist

• Two private 30-minute coaching sessions with the coach of your choice (David or Jordan or do one 30-minute session with each of us) or one 60-minute session with the coach of your choice. If you select David, you may also use this session for private critique following the guidelines that will be provided. If you choose two 30-minute sessions, at least one session must be used in the first 6 weeks. (Again, no cramming at the end.)

• A link to the online scheduling system ​where you will be able to schedule your private sessions will be sent after the August 15th Opening Orientation.​
