ARE YOU IN LOVE?

David Limrite-Artist, Coach, Mentor, Teacher

“We love the things we love for what they are.”

~Robert Frost

Are you in love?

With your creativity, that is.

There are many things to love with creativity. Being a creator. Being an artist. Process. Your favorite media. Your favorite art supplies. Your favorite brushes. Your subject matter. Your ideas. Your studio or work space. Time spent. The solitude. Etc.

The goal is to love creating and then create. No matter what.

Give yourself the gift of experiencing the love of creating.

The fun part is when creating doesn’t seem like work. It can seem effortless. Three or four hours can go by in the blink of an eye. This happens when you are loving your creativity.

For me, I must also love WHAT I am creating. I have to be fascinated with my subject matter and/or my idea. The figure has fascinated me for over 30 years. I have tried other subjects, but I always return to the figure. And I love it.

And I really love the process. The act of creating. There is nothing like taking an idea and turning it into something.

There are so many things to love about being a creator.

Find the things that you love about creating and then go create. No matter what.

Best,

David
